Written 3/4/08: February sucked.....that's how. But no sense in dwelling on the past.
My baby goes to school on the bus and it is traumatic for me. He broke into tears when I put him on it this morning. This afternoon, he was asleep.
Written 3/31 - The above words were started on March 4th - it is now March 31st. Dear God...I don't know where the time goes....actually here's how March went:
Andrew - ten days of diarrhea and vomiting.
Jenny - ten days of diarrhea and vomiting.
Bryan (Andrew's older brother) - six days of diarrhea and vomiting.
Re-doing Andrew's room - seven days of work and madness (any change for a child of autism is traumatic - Andrew cried and couldn't understand the changes);
Explaining to Andrew why he had three different bus drivers in a matter of 10 days - which made the screaming worse.
Every single night - Andrew screaming out in terror anywhere from two to four times a night - when you go to bed at 11 and wake up at 6 (the time Andrew wakes up) -- that's alot.
Jim having a major breakdown one weekend and stating that he couldn't take living with Andrew's diagnosis anymore and maybe would have to leave. (He was very sorry that he put me through that and will try to do better....)
Trying to make contact with friends who don't respond because they are busy, mad or really don't give a shit.
That's how it got to be April.
April has seminars for parents of children with autism and other issues, Jim has tickets to Young Frankenstein for his birthday (he's going with his sister-we can't find a babysitter, ever), Bryan's birthday, Jim's birthday, hopefully we're going to visit our friends who live in Jersey who we haven't seen in almost three years, 50 wedding cake cookies I promised a friend for a shower, a school visit where I do something with Andrew's class, starting the lawn care (I fired the lawn people to save money), Jim leaving for a weekend to see his last living aunt in Florida - she has six months to live, I think that is all the major events....I want to paint walls, rip up carpet, sand cabinets, clean, exercise and hopefully see a friend or two....we all have dreams. Trying to find a job that actually pays money.
